“Life in the UK” tests in Scottish Gaelic and Welsh

This request pertains to “Life in the UK” tests administered in the year 2007. Would you please provide (a) the total number of tests and (b) the number of tests where the result was “pass”, for each of the following categories:
1 tests in the Welsh language;
2 tests in the English language, administered in Wales;
3 tests in the Scottish Gaelic language;
4 tests in the English language, administered in Scotland; and
5 tests administered in England.

With regards to your Freedom of Information request please see the
information below on tests taken in Wales, Scotland and England.
1) Tests taken in the Welsh language - 1 person requested to take a
test in Welsh but they never took it. No more requests have been received
to date.
2) Tests taken in Wales in the English language - to date 12,349
tests have been taken in Wales.
3) Tests taken in Scots Gaelic language - No tests have ever been
taken in Gaelic
4) Tests taken in Scotland in the English language - to date 22,562
tests have been sat in Scotland.
5) Tests administered in England - To date 737,759 tests have been
taken in England.
The tables below give a further breakdown and show pass rates too.
