Licensing applications through ELMS

The request was successful.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Having made this request already to the Cabinet Office, believing that the Government Digital Service is responsible for
managing the ELMS (Electronic Licensing Management System), they have redirected my inquiry to HMRC/BusinessLink.

Therefore, can you please provide the number of Alcohol, Entertainment and Late Night Refreshment Licensing applications processed through ELMS - either for the entirety of 2011 or for a recent three month period - with the answer in the form of a table/spreadsheet with the Type of License applied for on one axis, and the individual local authorities on the second axis.

Addtionally, I request a separate table/spreadsheet for the other license types for which ELMS is used, viz. for
license types other than Alcohol, Entertainment and Late Night Refreshment as shown on the link below:

http://www.bis.gov.uk/policies/europe/eu...

It may be the case that ELMS is not used for these license types, but if so, I would like this information. If this information is not held by HMRC/BusinessLink I would be grateful if you could inform me of which public authority/ies might hold this information.

Yours faithfully,

C. Graham

C Graham,

Thank you for your communication of 17 July 2012 which has been passed to
HMRC’s Freedom of Information Team.

We have allocated the above reference which you should quote if you need
to contact us.

The Team will arrange for a reply to be sent to you which will either
comply with HMRC’s obligations under Freedom of Information Act or, if we
think it’s an enquiry that we don’t need to address under the terms of the
Act, let you know why.  If it is the latter we will, if possible, pass it
on to a more appropriate part of the Department for answer.
