Licences in Aberdeen

We're waiting for Michael Forbes to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Aberdeen City Licensing Board,

I would like to know -

a) How many licenced premises hold licences that allow them to stay open until 1am at the weekends
b) How many licenced premises hold licences that allow them to stay open until 3am at the weekends.
c) How many 3am licences have been refused in the period from 2010 to 2013.

Thank you for your information request of 10 January 2014, made under the
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).  Aberdeen City
Licensing Board has completed the necessary search for the information
requested.

 

INFORMATION REQUESTED

Question 1 (a)

How many licensed premises hold licences that allow them to stay open
until 1am at weekends?

 

Answer

In terms of the Licensing (Scotland) Act  there are 149 premises whose
terminal hour on Friday into Saturday and/or Saturday into Sunday is 01:00
hrs.

 

 

Question 1 (b)

How many licensed premises hold licences that allow them to stay open
until 3am at weekends?

 

Answer

In terms of the Licensing (Scotland) Act  there are 37 premises whose
terminal hour on Friday into Saturday and/or Saturday into Sunday is 03:00
hrs.

 

Please note that in addition to the above there are 7 premises whose
terminal hour on Friday into Saturday and/or Saturday into Sunday is 02:00
hrs and 1 whose terminal hour is 02:30 hrs.

 

Question 1(c)

How many 3am licences have been refused in the period from 2010 to 2013?

 

Answer

There have been two applications refused, where the variation sought
included application to open to 03:00 hrs.
