FOI, Sheffield City Council

Dear Ross Halliday,

Thank you for your request for information relating to HMO register which
we received on 06/03/2023.

Please find Sheffield City Council’s response to your request set out
below:

Sheffield City Council currently publishes details of HMO licences issued
at:
[1]http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/housing...

As this information is accessible by other means it is exempt from
disclosure under [2]Section 21(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The full register of licences is a public document able to be observed by
appointment and includes the majority of the information listed above.  A
full copy of the register is available for £1000, being the cost of
copying the register. There are currently approximately 1800 entries in
the full register, which comprises 8 lever arch files. Individual copies
of a single entry are available for £5. If you are wanting to observe the
full register you should contact our office on 0114 273 4680 and make
arrangements to view the register at Moorfoot.  As the viewing will need
to be accompanied we would appreciate at least 24 hours’ notice in order
to arrange a full viewing.

We hold details of the majority of owners of the properties which are
registered on the HMO register. However, this information is accessible by
other means and therefore exempt from disclosure under [3]Section 21 of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Details of the ownership of the HMO licensed premises can be found via the
Land Registry.

contact us.
