Licence additions

The request was refused by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Can you provide a list of all Alcohol Licensed Premises, their License details and to include additional terms to their Licenses within Weymouth & Portland Borough Council.

Preferably by type e.g. public house, restaurant, off licence, general store.

Yours faithfully,

Jake Brown

David Sinclair, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council

Dear Mr Brown

Thank you for your Request For Information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.

Regrettably, we cannot proceed with your request in its current format.
We have estimated that it would take about 15mins per licence to extract
the information you request.  This includes drawing the information from
the database, cleaning the data, redacting any personal data (which is
exempt from the disclosure requirements) and presenting it in a readable
format.  The council currently has 334 premises that are captured by your
request and therefore the total cost to the Council, calculated in line
with The Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and
Fees) Regulations 2004, at £25/hr equates to be in the region of £2100
to comply with your request.  This is more than the £450 limit as set by
the Regulations.  The Council does not issue fees notices and therefore
we will not process the request.

There may be, however, a way in which you could get some of the
information you requested that will ensure that the request will not
exceed the monetary limit.  Before we can do that, it would be
appreciated if you could clarify part of the request.  You have asked us
to include "...additional terms.." - what do you mean by this?  Once you
have clarified this part, we will re-assess your request to determine what
could be released without exceeding the cost limit.  The clarification
will be treated as a new request and will therefore have a revised
completion date and I will inform you of that at that time.

If you have any questions, then please do contact me either on 01305
383000 or by email, [1][Weymouth & Portland Borough Council request email]

Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Brown,

Following your request for information re the above, I sent an email on
June 5^th explaining that it was not possible to comply with the original
request in its original form. I did offer to discuss with you how the
request could be altered so that we could release some of the original
information.

It has been more than 30days since that letter and you have not contacted
us. I can only assume that you no longer want the information so I am
closing this request. If you still want the information in whatever
detail, you will need to make a new request which will be handled as if it
is a new request.

Yours sincerely
