As School Secretary and a member of our University’s Senior Management Committee that reviewed our position earlier today, I write to confirm the School’s commitment to support the Metropolitan Police in its handling of any continuation of the protests that are currently taking place on and around our premises in support of campaigns regarding pay and working conditions. We are very appreciative of the time, effort and resources you have dedicated to this challenging situation, and in terms of future policy, we are content to defer to the expertise and discretion of your own officers to take the lead in dealing with these difficult events.
