I refer to your e-mail of 13th July 2009 requesting a review of the
manner in which your original enquiry dated 14th January 2009 has been
dealt with.

I have examined this carefully but have to advise you that although you
had received an auto-response to your first e-mail, the actual e-mail
was not received. We have carried out a thorough search of our Customer
Services database - where these enquiries are initially located - and
have not been able to recover it. In addition our IT and web teams have
carefully examined our systems and, again, can find nothing. There are
many possibilities as to why this may have happened but it has not been
possible to isolate a particular cause.

I can only apologise to you for this failure.

However, in response to your original enquiry I must advise you that we
are unable to provide any information as the Information Commissioner
has never had cause to contact this Authority on such an issue.

You are advised that the District Council disclaims any responsibility

disclosed under the Freedom of Information Act. The District Council
does not warrant that any such information is accurate nor that it is
