Please see below our response to your enquiry regarding the Leverhulme
planning inquiry, we apologise for the delay in responding.

 1. The Council is unable to give a figure on total costs. Reasons for
this are outlined in point 3 below. 
 2. The cost of fees for legal representation amount to £76,800.
 3. Staffing costs in response to the Inquiry are split across agency
staff and permanent Council officers. We are not able to determine the
associated costs with permanent staff as they split their time across
several priority projects and we do not operate time recording. Agency
staff costs totalled £107,191.91.
 4. Costs given to Helen Wilson Consultancy Limited amount to £21,107.34.
 5. Other costs related to the Inquiry include, but are not limited to,
hire of webcasting equipment, printing of legal documents, and the
cost of professional witnesses. This equates to £157,204.01. Further
internal costs may have been incurred.

Please note that the information above reflects the Council’s defrayed
costs from a point in time when your request was received. It is possible
that more costs may have been incurred after this time in line with the
supplier’s contracts and billing timescales.
