Steve - You probably know that there is a good example template (and related info) for letters patent on Wiki, but just in case here's the link while your waiting:

Dear Mr Elibank,

I have conducted a search on WhatDoTheyKnow but have been unable to find reference tot his case.

Is it possible to provide me with a link so I can refer to the full audit trail and investigate this for you.

Dear Whiteside, Sarah,

Thank you for your reply to my FOI request 76096. I am surprised to hear that the draft text of Letters Patent are treated as such a security hazard but understand your position. Would it bring my request within the cost threshold if I were to request printed, rather than scanned copies, of all the documents?

If not, please could you provide me with a list of the 92 types of letters patent so I can refine my request.

Yours sincerely,
Steve Elibank

I just spent an amusing few minutes trying to find a system / common denominator for the list of letter patents you're interested in -- but it usually fails with the Royal Astronomer and the Regius Professor Hebrew.

Is there a system? Just curious...

Steve Elibank left an annotation ()

I tried to go for a cross-section, ie no system at all. I took some government, some royal, some academic etc. I figure that all the academic ones will be similar except for the name of the post in question, and so on.

Dear Ms Whiteside,

I didn't receive an acknowledgement of my narrowed request for specific letters patent (sent 29 May and copied below) so just wanted to ensure it arrived and is being processed.

Yours sincerely,
Steve Elibank
