Letter To Mid Ulster Council

The request was successful.

Dear Fermanagh and Omagh District Council,

In regards to the below

FERMANAGH AND OMAGH DISTRICT COUNCIL
Minutes of Meeting of: Regeneration & Community Committee
Date and Time: Tuesday 9 February 2016 at 7.01 pm
Location: The Townhall, Enniskillen

5.3 Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment - Mineral Prospecting
Rights
NOTED: that the above correspondence dated 20 January 2016 had been issued
with the agenda.
The Director of Regeneration and Planning suggested that as a large area of the
land included in the application noted in the correspondence from the Department
of Enterprise, Trade and Investment fell within the Mid Ulster Council’s jurisdiction,
that contact could be made with Mid Ulster Council to clarify its position in
response to the proposal. Members agreed that as the deadline for responses to
the correspondence came before the next Council meeting of 1 March 2016, that
an extension to this deadline should be sought.
RECOMMENDED:
On the proposal of Councillor Shields, seconded by Councillor Wilson, that
the Council writes to the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Investment
regarding concerns around further mineral explorations, particularly given
concerns as to current proposals for the Greencastle area.
RECOMMENDED:
On the proposal of Councillor McNally, seconded by Councillor A Feely, that
representatives from Koza Ltd be invited to attend an informal meeting to
appraise Members with further details of their proposals to include the
proposed methodology.

I am requesting a copy of all letters sent to Mid Ulster Council or DETI

Yours faithfully,

hugh mc cloy
