Length of time to send statement of reasons.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Her Majesty’s Courts and the Tribunals Service,

When the Social Security and Child Support Appeals Tribunal send the appellant its decision (usually, and predictably, appeal dismissed) the judge does not give proper and full reasons for his/her decision. It appears to be just a very simple parroting of what the defendant has said and already decided.

(1) How long, on average, did it take HMCTS Social Security and Child Support Appeals Tribunal to send an appellant a statement of reasons, when requested to so, during last 3 years?
If this request exceeds the cost limit, then please refine it to the last full year.

(2)What was the longest time it took HMCTS Social Security and Child Support Appeals Tribunal to send an appellant a statement of reasons, when requested to do so, during the last 3 years? If this request exceeds the cost limit, then please refine it to the last full year.

Yours faithfully,

M Boyce
