Can you clarify the reference to 'length of service at promotion' please.
Do you require data for the current rank in which they were last promoted
into?

I previously received these figures on 19th April 2012 for the year 2011. I previously received a breakdown by ethnicity and gender with the average legnth of service at promotion from the start of career. If this does not completely answer your point could you look at the earlier response.

Clarified: I previously received these figures on 19th April 2012 for the
year 2011.  I previously received a breakdown by ethnicity and gender with
the average length of service at promotion from the start of career.  If
this does not completely answer your point could you look at the earlier
response.”

SEARCHES TO LOCATE INFORMATION

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted
at Human Resources Department.  The searches located information relevant
to your request.

Notes:

-        The attached data is based on Full Time Equivalent
-        The time in promotion was calculated using the year 2017 and
calculating the date backwards to give the year their rank changed –
therefore this data is based on the year their rank changed which is 2017.
-        The assumption is being made the change of rank indicates their
promotion
-        DC’s and PC’s have been taken out.
-        The numbers depend on how many promotion processes may have taken
place that year
-        For the higher ranks we are making the assumption that their rank
changed the year they completed the work based assessment.
-        Please also note – promotion can be mean either the date they
posted or the date they started or finished their towbar.
