Length and Cost of IT contract staff

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Charles Taylor, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear Department of Health,

Please provide the following specific information:

1. The number of IT staff who are contractors, not civil servants, engaged by all IT activities as at Friday 18th March 2011.

2. The total number of days each of these contractors has been paid for.

3. The amount of money that has been spent to engage these contractors during the totality of their employment to date. This includes funds that paid directly, or indirectly to retain these contractors.

Please do not personally identify these contractors.

This FOI request is motivated by a study into the extent to which "temporary but expensive contractors" are in fact not temporary, and the extent to which Departments are transferring their roles and skills to civil servants.

Yours faithfully,

Charles Taylor
