I confirm that the Council holds information which meets the description contained in your request and the information requested is set out below.

In respect of the Building Services responsibility; Legionella testing is carried out within the Total Facilities Maintenance Contract run by Skanska Facilities Services. The Leisure Services Contract is run by Freedom Leisure.

The Skanska Facilities contract has been extended to 31 October 2021. The contract is priced to include all services by building and therefore a breakdown of costs for Legionella testing is not available.

The Freedom Leisure contract expires 30 November 2025. The contract is priced to include all services by building and therefore a breakdown of costs for Legionella testing is not available.

With respect to New Vision Homes responsibility; Woking Borough Council has a contract with New Vision Homes that includes the provision of statutory servicing such as legionella testing and surveying. New Vision Homes then engages specialists in each field. At present, New Vision Homes sub-contracts the legionella surveying and testing to a specialist called Clearwater Technologies Limited. Woking Borough Council and New Vision Homes have an agreed rate of £425 per legionella risk assessment.

In addition to this, The Environmental Health Service may from time to time carry out Legionella sampling in domestic / commercial properties where there is an investigation of a case or outbreak. There is no contract for this, Environmental Health Officers collect samples and courier to an approved laboratory.

I hope that you are satisfied with the way in which your request for information has been dealt with. If not, the Council has decided that any complaint regarding requests for information that cannot be dealt with satisfactorily on an informal basis should be dealt with in accordance with its established complaints procedure.
