Dear Crown Prosecution Service,

I am aware that you recruited 15 legal trainees to undertake either a 12 month pupilage or two year training contract with you, commencing this year.

I am writing to request, under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, that you provide me with a list of the higher education institutions from which the 15 people you recruited graduated.

For the avoidance of doubt, I am interested in where they undertook their undergraduate degrees, and am less interested in any postgraduate study, GDL or BVC/LPC training courses.

I am curious to find out whether the CPS's recruitment policies are the same as the rest of the legal profession - i.e. an Oxbridge club in all but name.

Yours faithfully,

James Peterson
