"Can the Council provide any information that it has agreed to indemnify Mayor Starkie, at Tax Payers expense, in respect of any costs he may incur in seeking to pursue any private legal action at this time under the provisions of The Local Authorities (Indemnities form Members and Officers) Order 2004?"

In the absence of any denial can we take it then that Tax Payers money is being used to threaten individuals with legal action to prevent them from holding elected representatives to account?

Is that what we pay Taxes for?

I think that that is a "yes" then and if the CBC is willing to use tax payers money for this purpose the Mayor can stop all genuine questions over his conduct. Its what some might call democracy but others give it a different name
