Dear Paula Thorpe

Please find below a response to your request for information received on 7
October.

Can you suggest as to how I can find out more about the 35 cases you refer
to? Is information related to any of these cases published on the Council
website?

We do not publish information relating to claims against the Council on
our website.

What information do you hold about the 35 cases would you will be willing
to provide if requested by an FOIA request?

Of the 35 cases, 3 are Licensing related appeals, 5 are related to
challenges to homelessness decisions made by the Council, 2 are other
challenges to Council decisions made by Judicial Review and the remainder
are related to housing condition claims against the Council. The figure
does not include any claims made against the Council which may be dealt
with by our insurers such as personal injury claims. The figure also
refers to matters for which Legal Services has received instructions from
a Client Officer or department.
