Dear Southend on Sea Borough Council,

On the 21st October 2019 I made a request for information via the ‘What Do They Know Website’ as follows;

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to enquire on the following information relating to the installation of LED street lights.

1. Are these new LED Street Lights 5G compatible?
2. What is the purpose for the Antenna located on top of the Street Light?
3. Are the LED's being used white, blue or green LED's?
4. What risk group do these LED lights fall into? 1, 2 or 3?
5. Do they have diffusers built into them?
6. Do the LED lights meet and conform to the IEC62471 Standard?
7. What is the Microwave Radiation produced from these street Lights in mV/m?

On the 14th November 2019 I received the following reply from Debee Skinner, Business Intelligence Officer (Planning & Compliance).

1. No
2. To be controlled by a central management system
3. White
4. We have requested this information from the company who supplied the information and we are awaiting a response. Once we have received this we will be forward it on to you. Alternatively the supplier was Urbis (Ltd) and can be contacted directly.
5. See response above
6. Awaiting this information from the supplier
7. See response above

As can be seen from the above information I have still not received a reply to my questions 4, 5, 6 and 7 as of today’s date and would be very keen to receive some answers.

If someone can provide this information I would be very grateful as I have been awaiting a reply for nearly 3 years now.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Spencer
