Leaseholder / council tenant ratio within Southwark housing estates

The request was successful.

Dear Southwark Borough Council,

I am currently doing a study into the effects of right to buy on the housing stock owned by Southwark council.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please provide me with the following information:

1. Please can you provide the total number of properties split between leaseholder & council tenant in each housing estate, and the individual blocks within the estate? I am happy for this data to be provided in whatever format you have accessible.

I understand that under the Act I am entitled to a response within 20 working days of your receipt of this request. If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary.

If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the act. I will also expect you to release all non-exempt material. I would prefer to receive the information electronically.

I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully

Alexander Hedge

Dear Mr Hedge,

Thank you for your request received on 21 September 2016.

I have received a substantial amount of data back from our service, and I
would like to ensure that I am only sending you the data you are
interested in.

The council holds properties on both residential streets and estates. Is
your request exclusively related to properties on estates?

I would be grateful if you could provide clarification by 10 October 2016,
to enable me to process your request promptly.

Yours sincerely

Dear Jennifer Chambers,

Sorry for any confusion, please can I have information covering both properties on both residential streets and estates (if possible broken down by each block)?

Yours sincerely,

Alexander Hedge

Dear Mr Hedge,

Thank you for your call this morning, I am sorry that I was not able to
give you an update at the time.

I have now reviewed the progress that has been made on preparing this file
for release. At present, there are approx. 2550 entries left which need to
be consolidated, so that the status of individual properties is not
visible. As we have discussed before, the scope of your request covers a
large amount of data, and it is taking significantly longer than hoped to
prepare this for release.

I appreciate that you have been very patient in waiting for our response,
and I would like to reaffirm our commitment to releasing this information.
I am sorry that I cannot give you an update on when we might be able to
respond in full.

Yours sincerely,
