Lease holders responsibilities

c baranowski made this Freedom of Information request to British Waterways Board

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, British Waterways Board should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear British Waterways Board,
could you please provide details of the lease between BW and the lease holder of Gunthorpe marina, Notts. Particularly what facilities are to be provided to berth holders regarding health and safety, fire regulations, rubbish disposal and toilet facilities etc. Also how many berths are available at this location. There is also a tow path that is a public right of way along the river bank. Can the lease holder refuse the general public access along the towpath that is part of the leased property. How long do the lease holders have the lease for.
will it be offered out to tender when the lease expires

Yours faithfully,
Mr C Baranowski

I suspect that BWB won't hold this information any more: their English canals and rivers were transferred to Canal & River Trust in July.
