I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible.
Please can you provide information on the following:

1. Does your local authority use a Learning Management System and e-learning provision for employee training?
2. If not, are there ongoing plans to purchase a Learning Management System and e-learning provision for employee training in the near future?
3. What is the name of the Learning Management System (product name) and which company is it purchased from?
4. Provide brief information of the current e-learning courses that are used in employee training.
5. Provide the development themes of the eLearning courses that are used in employee training (i.e. Compliance, Safeguarding, etc.)
6. Value of the current contract, date of commencement and date of expiry.
7. Who is responsible for ensuring the LMS and e-learning provision meets the local authorities training requirements?

I am pleased to advise that we are now able to provide the information you
had requested. Please see our responses to your questions below.

Yes , this includes eLearning provision.

 

2. If not, are there ongoing plans to purchase a Learning Management
System and e-learning provision for employee training in the near future?

 

N/A

 

3. What is the name of the Learning Management System (product name) and
which company is it purchased from?

 

Learning Management System (LSO) is an integral part of the Council's
overall Business Management System  which is subject to a separate
contract.

 

The  LMS (E - Learning) system is purchased from Learning Pool.

 

4. Provide brief information of the current e-learning courses that are
used in employee training.

 

The e - learning catalogue includes Induction, Leadership and management,
HR policies and procedures, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity and
Professional and technical as well as mandatory learning such as data
protection.

 

5. Provide the development themes of the eLearning courses that are used
in employee training (i.e. Compliance, Safeguarding, etc.)

 

Development themes are Compliance, Safeguarding , Personal Development.

 

6. Value of the current contract, date of commencement and date of expiry.

 

Value of current contract is £55,865 (14/08/17 to 13/08/18)

 

7. Who is responsible for ensuring the LMS and e-learning provision meets
the local authorities training requirements?

 

Overall the Council’s Service Director for Customers and HR, on a day to
day basis the Workforce Planning and Organisational Development Team
Manager.
