Learning Disability Day Centre Infection Control Guidelines
Dear Southern Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),
Please could you supply me with a copy of the Infection Control Guidelines that the Trust is using in Learning Disability Daycentre's?
Also, can you clarify where it clearly states that if 2 staff test positive incubation period needs to be for a 28 period and the whole Daycentre needs to close? Does this mean if 3 staff test positive then the Daycentre has to close for a 42 day incubation closure? If there is no breach in staff wearing the appropriate PPE why does the Daycentres need to close at all?
Many thanks.
Yours faithfully,
Tracey Gilliland
Thank you for your email.
We acknowledge receipt of your request.
You will be aware of the significant pressures on our health and social
care services during the first peak of the CoVid19 pandemic. During this
time we have been asking our staff to prioritise their professional caring
duties and to support front line health and social care services in
responding to the emergency. This has understandably had an impact on
other duties within their role such as responding to legislative
requirements under FOI and the processing of Subject Access Requests.
We are refocussing our efforts to recover our corporate services; however
this will take time due to a backlog of work and the gradual return of
staff to their roles so we anticipate that there may still be some delays
in responding to requests for information. We assure you that your
request will be logged and processed, and we will do our utmost to respond
as quickly as possible.
Yours Faithfully
