Please see below request relating to a quotation for a Blast Assessment at the above site. Whilst it is not usual practice for us to email directly, there has been an issue with the RFQ system and I did not want this to cause any delays.
The official request will be sent to your procurement section / email first thing on Monday morning however, I wanted to ensure that the information reached the relevant team immediately.

I write with regard to obtaining a FEE QUOTE to provide a Blast Assessment for a planning application, the details of which are as follows:
Application Reference: PA/21/01327
Location: Royal Mint Court, London, EC3N 4QN
Proposal: Redevelopment of the site to provide an embassy (Sui Generis use class), involving the refurbishment and restoration of the Johnson Smirke Building (Grade II listed), partial demolition, remodelling and refurbishment of Seaman's Registry (Grade II listed), with alterations to the west elevation of the building, the retention, part demolition, alterations and extensions to Murray House and Dexter House, the erection of a standalone entrance pavilion building, alterations to the existing boundary wall and demolition of substation, associated public realm and landscaping, highway works, car and cycle parking and all ancillary and associated works.
The application is submitted on behalf of the applicant, Chinese Embassy UK, by their appointed planning agent, DP9.
This review should be undertaken with the benefit of a site visit for a Blast Assessment to assess the potential for:
Vulnerability to blast
Impact of blast
Mitigation / protection from blast options if required
The Counter Terrorism Security Advisor of the Metropolitan Police has set the parameters as being ………. They anticipate discussing the exact locations with the blast assessor to identify the most relevant locations. They have in mind four locations and request early and open discussion with the blast assessor following appointment. The impact of blasts on the development as well as neighbouring buildings should be assessed and any mitigation advice provided.
I would be grateful if you could provide a QUOTE by 5pm on Wednesday 20TH April 2022 for undertaking this review work, together with a projected timescale for completing the assessment.
In providing a quotation, please could you also certify that you have not undertaken any work on behalf of the applicant in relation to this development proposal and that you have no other conflicts of interest that would prevent you from being appointed.

This response is nearly 4 weeks overdue. On 13th January we will request an internal review and issue a note to the ICO if the response is not provided.
