How many children 0-5 years old have contracted a sexually transmitted infection (please state numbers for the various types) in your area every financial year since 2006? Please provide breakdown per year and sex of child.

How many children 6-10 years old have contracted a sexually transmitted infection (please state numbers for the various types) in your area every financial year since 2006? Please provide breakdown per year and sex of child.

How many children 11-15 years old have contracted a sexually transmitted infection (please state numbers for the various types) in your area every financial year since 2006? Please provide breakdown per year and sex of child.

Our response:

We can confirm that we do hold the information you have requested.
However, we must advise you that the Trust is required to adhere to a
Policy document issued by Public Health England entitled “HIV and STI Data
Sharing Policy” (a copy of which is attached for ease of reference)   

 

In accordance with the guidance within this Policy, I regret that the
Trust is unable to provide the clinic level data that you have requested. 
National level data is held by Public Health England, and you should
submit an FOI request directly to them ([1][email address]) for this data.

 

Accordingly, and in accordance with Section 21 of the FOI Act we are
unable to respond to your FOI Request.  We have applied this exemption as
the data you are seeking is accessible by other means (i.e. from Public
Health England.)
