I would like to receive copies of all correspondence with parties outside Ofcom, electronic or otherwise, relating to this inquiry.

Since the information requested is environmental in nature, I believe that the Environmental Information Regulations apply.

Dear Mr Montford,

Re: Request for information – Today programme featuring Lord Lawson

I am writing to you because the time limit for responding to your request
for information needs to be extended on the grounds that the request is
complex. As a result, the 20-working day time limit for issuing a response
will be extended by another 20 working days. I shall therefore respond to
your request by 7 June 2018. Thank you for your patience and
understanding.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Montford

Dear Office of Communications,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Office of Communications's handling of my FOI request 'Lawson - Today programme'. My reasons are as follows:

1. While the FOI Act indeed prevents disclosure of information where this is stipulated under other legislation. However, the Environmental Information Regulations does not make such a stipulation and therefore as far as I can see the information is still disclosable.
2. In addition, s393 of the Communications Act only prevents disclosure of information obtained under powers specified in the Act (or related legislation). Correspondence related to the Today programme ruling would not have been obtained under those powers.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/l...

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Montford

Julia Snape, Office of Communications

Dear Mr Montford

Thank you for your request for internal review. We will now consider your request and will contact you again by 5 July.
