Lawrence Kenwright & His Acquisition of the Bankfield Centre
Dear Liverpool Community College,
On March 27th 2017 I sent an FOI request relating to the sale of the Bankfield Centre . You chose not to respond.....responding is a legal requirement
On the 30th April I requested an Internal Review. You chose not to respond........responding is a legal requirement.
I am, therefore, asking once again, through the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for responses to the following questions within the time limit set by the Act. I also require confirmation ASAP that you have received this FOI request.
According to a previous FOI, it was revealed that the Bankfield Centre was sold to Lawrence Kenwright [Signature Living] in 2016 for £1.75 m. In light of this information I would like to request the following information and a response within the time limit set by the CIO.
[1] The reasons why the Bankfield Centre was sold to Lawrence Kenwright based on ONE valuation which was done in 2012 when the building was sold to him in 2016 [£1.75 m. was still £250,000 below the open market sale valuation of 2012]
[2] The reasons why the building wasn't valued by at least 2/3 companies in 2016 before being put up for sale.
[3] Which governors were involved in the sale of this building
[4] Who made the decision to sell the building to a Liverpool Community [City] College governor [Lawrence Kenwright]....please indicate why this wasn't a conflict of interest.
[5] What are the names of the other companies that put in bids for the Bankfield Centre
[6] What were the criteria used to choose Signature Living above the other companies
Yours faithfully,
Josie Mullen
