Law Undergraduate Statistics
Dear King’s College London,
I am making a request for information regarding the LLB law course
(M100) for the 2013/2014 cycle.
1) In the 2013/2014 admission cycle, how many international
(excluding UK and EU citizens) students studying the International
baccalaureate curriculum had applied for the M100 course? How many
of these applicants were given an offer?
2) What was the lowest IB higher level score to be submitted and
eventually given an offer? And what was the breakdown of this
score? (i.e the grade in each subject for eg: 6,6,6,)
3) What were the average IB and 5)What was the cutoff point for the
LNAT - i.e what was the
absolute lowest that one could score on the LNAT and still receive
an offer? scores for all the applicants who were given an offer?
4)For successful applicants (domestic and international) that
applied using the International Baccalaureate, how many points were
they predicted? Could I get a breakdown of the grades of successful
applicants - i.e. how many applicants had 39,40,41 points etc
5) What was the cutoff point for the LNAT - i.e what was the
absolute lowest that one could score on the LNAT and still receive
an offer?
Yours faithfully,
Himag

Dear Himag,
Further to your recent request for information held by King’s College
London I am writing to inform you that we are unable to process your
request without further clarification from you.
In order to help us identify and locate the information you require please
provide clarification of the aspects of your request listed below at your
earliest opportunity.
1. You asked ‘what was the lowest IB higher level score to be
submitted and eventually given an offer’
Please confirm whether you would like us to provide the lowest predicted
higher level score or only the scores of those who had finished their IB
at the time of application.
2. You asked ‘what were the average IB scores for all the applicants
who were given an offer’
Please confirm whether you are referring to predicted or actual scores and
also whether you require this information for all students or for
international students only.
3. You asked ‘For successful applicants (domestic and international)
that applied using IB, how many points were predicted’
Please confirm how you would like us to define ‘successful applicants’ –
we can provide data for students who received an offer, students who
received an unconditional offer, or students who enrolled at the
university.
4. You asked us to provide ‘a breakdown of the grades of successful
applicants’
Please confirm that you would like us to provide this information in the
format of total score and higher level – e.g. Total score: 42, higher
level: 7,7,7.
Please be aware that your information request is now on hold pending a
response from you. In the event that we do not receive the required
clarification from you within three months of the date of this email we
will consider your request to be closed.
I look forward to receiving your clarification in due course.
Kind regards

Dear kcl - legal-compliance,
1. I meant the predicted scores submitted and not the actual ones.
2. Again, i meant the predicted scores. Here 'all students' would signify all the international students.
3. I meant all students (again international ones) who received an offer. If possible, also mention alongside which of the students received an unconditional offer and which received a conditional one.
4.The break down should be in the format: Total score (with core points included) : 42 , higher level: 7,7,7.
Yours sincerely,
Himag
Further to your recent request for information the University’s response
is attached.
I hope that you now have all the information you require.
