Dear CAIUS Senior Bursar,
Thank you for your response. Just to clarify, is the college unable to provide information on the number of deferred applications for Law and which of those were successful in gaining a place for 2021 entry at Gonville and Caius? ( part ( f )of my query?
Dear Mr Jones,
Thank you for your note. The reason for withholding some information is that personal data may be capable of being inferred data supplied in relation to small numbers of individuals. For that reason the college adopts the 0 to 5 approach. This is supported by a decision of the Tribunal.
I would add that we frequently receive freedom of information requests in relation to applications. Where it is in relation to applicants or teachers or schools generally wishing to know more about the processes of applying to Cambridge or advice on circumstances our Admissions Office is more than happy to engage in discussions which may be very much more helpful than raw data. If your enquiry is related to this, then do please contact them, best done in the first instance through [email address].
In addition there is an abundance of information on the University's website here: https://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.u... which also includes information by college as well as subject. It has the information up to 2019.
