1. The Classical Latin name of Oriel College: Collegium Orielense

2. The full Classical Latin name of the college:
We have checked the 1603 charter and the original Latin text reads 'Prepositus et Scholares domus beate Marie Virginis in Oxonia vulgariter vocata Oriell Colledge de fundatione inclite memorie Edwardi quondam Regis Anglie secundi' which our official translation renders 'the Provost and Scholars of the house of blessed Mary the Virgin in Oxford commonly called Oriel College of the foundation of Edward II of famous memory late King of England'.
