Thank you for your request of 15 October 2019, in which you asked for
information relating to the Landrover Defender operated by Cherwell
District Council. The Council’s response to your request is as follows:

a) Amount of VED paid for this vehicle annually – £250.00 last time it was
taxed in Feb 19.

b) Plans (if any) to decommission this vehicle – Probably next financial
year 2020/21

c) Total amount spent on maintenance of this vehicle, over the past 5
years. - £4,682.00

More generally, I would like to request details of your fleet maintenance
policy for vehicle disposal (e.g. is there a recommended mileage or age
limit at which you seek to replace the vehicle). – We have a vehicle
replacement plan based on age of vehicle which is reviewed regularly for
relevance. Vehicles typically get replaced between 7 – 10 years where some
are kept like the Landrover due to condition, mileage, and repair costs.
