Information request:
Dear Adam
We responded to your FOI request back in October of 2021.
It would appear that we provided incorrect information at the time within
the response to question 2.
The figures that were previously quoted related to all service requests
received about private sector housing issues rather than just complaints
so the data included requests such as landlords seeking advice, and
properties suspected of being HMOs, not just complaints about conditions.
The correct figures should have been:
The actual number of complaints the council received about private rented
properties were as follows:
2018/19 -121
2019/20 -157
2020/21 - 143
Please accept our apologies for this.
If you are not satisfied with my response to your request you may ask for
the request to be reconsidered. You can do this either by letter or by
emailing [1][email address] . The request will be considered by a
different officer. If you still remain dissatisfied with our response
after this you may write to the Information Commissioner.
Kind regards
Customer Service Team
