The request was successful.

Dear Leicestershire County Council,

There are plans to install a pedestrian crossing at the junction of Lancaster Road & Station Road in Hinckley close to The Crescent shopping centre. What information do you have that explains:

1) What kind of crossing it will be – just a zebra crossing or full 3-way traffic light control for example?
2) The anticipated impact on traffic flow at this busy T-junction notably on Saturdays?

Yours faithfully,

David Alfred

Leicestershire County Council

Mr David Alfred

Dear Mr David Alfred,

The department has now provided the following response:

The location under consideration is on Lancaster Road, approximately 30 metres west of its T-junction with Station Road. This would (subject to further investigation and consultations) place the crossing just past the Royal Mail depot entrance.
