Lancashire Police & Crime Panel Task & Finish Group on Police Complaints Process

[Name Removed] made this Freedom of Information request to Lancashire Police and Crime Panel This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Lancashire Police and Crime Panel did not have the information requested.

Dear Lancashire Police and Crime Panel,

I refer to Agenda Item 12 of the PCP meeting 20th June 2016.

''As agreed at the meeting in October, a short term Task and Finish Group was set up to scrutinise the operation of the Police Complaints process in Lancashire in the context of the Police and Crime Commissioners role in holding the Chief Constable to account for the operation of quality services to the public of Lancashire.''

I understand from the report and from the PCP meeting on 20th June, the Task Group and Finish Group dismissed the concerns I raised in January and October 2015, about Lancashire Constabulary's model of complaint handling and a lack of scrutiny in this area, as unfounded and not justified.

I understand that in reaching it's decision the Task and Finish Group met privately on 3 occasions, 16th February, 8th March and 22nd March.

Please provide a copy of
1. Meeting minutes, notes, record of meetings for the above
2. If not included in number 1, a list of who was present at each of these meetings
3. A copy of all information/documents that were presented, or obtained independently, that were considered by the Task Group in reaching their decision. If any are already in the public domain then listing them is fine.

(For example, if the Task Group considered the IPCC Statutory Guidance then there is clearly no need to provide a copy but if it was considered then I would like to know.)

Many thanks

It is disappointing that you have sent me 4 replies and taken 10 days to tell me that you cannot handle this request.

It might be helpful if you changed the email address that is linked to Lancashire Police and Crime Panel FOIA requests on this site to avoid others experiencing the same issue.

I understand this can only be done by the authority.

Kind regards
