Lack of information from DWP made available to pension industry and the public regarding change in legislation regarding loss of GMP indexation via the state pension

The request was refused by Department for Work and Pensions.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Can you pleas let me have copies of any correspondence you had with the Treasury, any other Government Department and Parliament between say Oct 2010 and April 2011 when you issued the Green Paper "A state pension for the 21st century" regarding no one reaching state pension age 6 April 2016 or later will have an additional state pension (AP) so no comparison can be made.

Dear C Thompson,

I am writing in response to your request for information, received 13th
April.

Yours sincerely,

DWP Central FoI Team

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Lack of information from DWP made available to pension industry and the public regarding change in legislation regarding loss of GMP indexation via the state pension'.

My request

FOI 2019/15021 – On 13 April 2019 you asked:
Copies of any correspondence you had with the Treasury, any other Government Department and Parliament between say Oct 2010 and April 2011 when you issued the Green Paper “A state pension for the 21st century” regarding no one reaching state pension age 6 April 2016 or later will have an additional state pension (AP) so no comparison can be made.

Your reply 2 May 2019.

You mention in your reply that

I confirm that we do not hold the recorded information to respond to your request.
Under section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), public authorities are not obliged to comply with a request which is vexatious.

I would like you to have a look again for correspondence between DWP and the Treasury from January 2012.

I know you were in correspondence with the Treasury in January 2012 regarding single tier pension and effect on public service pension schemes and end of the additional state pension after the implementation of the NSP for people in the public sector reaching state pension age after the implementation of the NSP.

Please can you have a look again for any correspondence you have between yourselves and Treasury from January 2012 regarding the ending of contracting out and its effect on public service schemes and any internal correspondence about it before you contacted the Treasury.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/l...

Yours faithfully,

C. Thompson
