LAC medical and education

Tanya Edwards made this Freedom of Information request to Tameside Safeguarding Children Board
This authority is not subject to FOI law, so is not legally obliged to respond (details).
This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Tameside Safeguarding Children Board,

Please could you tell me as part of your policy and procedure,

Is there a time limit for how soon after being placed into care that a LAC medical is to happen?
If there is a time limit, what is the limit in weeks before it is deemed a 'concern'?
Also regarding education, how long is the local authority given in weeks to secure a school placement for a LAC in their care before it is deemed a 'risk'?

Yours faithfully,

Tanya Edwards

Dear Tameside Safeguarding Children Board,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Tameside Safeguarding Children Board's handling of my FOI request 'LAC medical and education'.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of response to my request.
I'm also dissatisfied with the length of time children's safe guarding team have had to respond to this request as by law, under the circumstances Tameside LA should have responded by now.
I believe this was a reasonable request for information and I find it very unprofessional it has not been dealt with.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/l...

Yours faithfully,

Tanya Edwards
