Knife injury and knife crime in hospitals

We're waiting for Andy Buckwell to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear NHS Hospital Trust,

I am making a Freedom of Information request for the following information:

Can you specify how many patients under the age of 18 have been treated for knife injuries in your Trust since 2013. Can you give a break down by age and sex.

Over the same period can you tell me how many staff while at work in Trust hospitals have been threatened with a knife or similar sharp object, or attacked by people using knives or similar sharp object.

How many staff or visitors (ie not patients) to Trust hospitals have required treatment following an attack in a hospital.

How many times have police been called to hospitals in the trust area to deal with incidents involving violent behaviour of patients or hospital visitors in each year from 2013 to present?

Yours faithfully,

Andy Buckwell

Dear Sir

The Trust is processing your FOI request (FOIRQ5129), however, please can
you provide some clarification before we can proceed with your request:

Your request:

Can you specify how many patients under the age of 18 have been treated
for knife injuries in your Trust since 2013. Can you give a break down by
age and sex.

Over the same period can you tell me how many staff while at work in Trust
hospitals have been threatened with a knife or similar sharp object, or
attacked by people using knives or similar sharp object.

How many staff or visitors (ie not patients) to Trust hospitals have
required treatment following an attack in a hospital.

How many times have police been called to hospitals in the trust area to
deal with incidents involving violent behaviour of patients or hospital
visitors in each year from 2013 to present?

Our Request for Clarification:

How many staff or visitors (ie not patients) to Trust hospitals have
required treatment following an attack in a hospital.

How many times have police been called to hospitals in the trust area to
deal with incidents involving violent  behaviour of patients or hospital
visitors in each year from 2013 to present?

Can you confirm that these questions are specifically in relation to
attacks/incidents that involved knives/similar sharp objects?

Please note:

Once we have received your clarification we will send an acknowledgment
and a date by which you should expect a response. The Trust is not
required to provide information where we have asked for clarification and
the ‘clock’ restarts when clarification has been received. If we do not
hear from you in 20 working days, i.e. by 19/04/2019 we will close the
request and you will be advised to make a new request if you still require
the information.

Yours sincerely,
