Knaresborough to Sheffield no longer valid via Castleford, Barnsley, Rotherham

Glynn Magheramorne made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Glynn Magheramorne

Dear Department for Transport,

Knaresborough - Sheffield tickets are no longer valid for changing at Leeds onto the direct Leeds to Sheffield service via Castleford, Barnsley & Rotherham.

The last journey opportunity of the day is:

2137 Knaresborough - Leeds
2237 Leeds - Sheffield

But this is no longer a permitted route, meaning customers are not being sold fares for this journey by online booking engines such as thetrainline.com

Please can you state whether you gave permission for ATOC to remove this route or not?

If you did give permission, what date did you do so, and why did you do so?

If you did not give permission, what action are you taking, have taken, or will be taking, against ATOC for this unlawful act?

Yours faithfully,

Glynn Magheramorne
