It has very recently come to my attention that you have put out to tender the Kirklees Family Intervention Project.

It has come to mt attention from your have taken the contract away from 'Action for Children' who have held the contract for 7 years and instead given the new contract to DISC.

Could you please publish the following under FOI:-

1. How many organisation made bids for the contract along with the value of the bids and the names of the organisations.

2. When and for how long the new contract is to run.

3. What criteria was used to award the contract

4. What steps were taken to insure that the bidding organisations were operating within the law, including charity law

Action for Children, Barnados, Calico, CRI, DISC, Foundation, Home Group

The values of the bids ranged from approximately £620,000-£650,000

 

2. When and for how long the new contract is to run.

1^st November 2013- 31^st October 2016 (with an option to extend for a
further 2 years)

 

3. What criteria was used to award the contract

Technical, quality and price

4. What steps were taken to insure that the bidding organisations were
operating within the law, including charity law

The contract was tendered in accordance with EU procurement rules
