Kirklees Catering Source of Chicken & Meat

We're waiting for Mr. Abid to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Kirklees Borough Council,

As a parent, I am exploring catering options – both Halal and non Halal within Kirklees Schools.

Under FOI act, I’d be grateful if you could let me know where Kirklees Catering sources its meat and chicken from both Halal and non-Halal.

Furthermore, what area of training are covered when it is offered to staff when serving Halal meat or chicken within a school environment?

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Abid

Dear Kirklees Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Kirklees Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Kirklees Catering Source of Chicken & Meat'.

I have not been given full clarity DW Young Butchers, where are they based, and no further information has been provided in relation to checks made on food chain supply or the "self certification" of presumed halal status of food being served in schools, when was it conducted, was it documented at all and if so do you have a copy?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/k...

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Abid
