Dear Mr Norris,

Your request for information on Kier Stoke Housing Repair Invoices

Although we do hold the information that you have requested, we estimate
that the aggregated cost of complying with your request would be more than
£450. This amount is called the appropriate limit and is specified in
regulations. The reason your request exceeds the appropriate limit is
because approximately 2000 individual housing repair jobs are completed
each week, each job has an invoice which would need to be manually printed
in order to provide the information you have requested. We estimate that
this would exceed the 18 hour cost limit.

When it would cost more than £450 to locate, retrieve and extract the
information that is requested, section 12 of the Freedom of Information
Act allows us to refuse the request.

If you make a new request for a smaller amount of information, it may then
be inside the appropriate limit, although I cannot guarantee that it would
be and we would have to assess your new request.

If you have any queries about this email, please do not hesitate to
contact us.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
you should write to: Information Rights Manager, Chief Executives Office,
Stoke Town Hall, Glebe Street, ST4 1HH or email [Stoke on Trent City Council request email].

If, after contacting us, you are not content with the outcome, you may ask
the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Information
Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have already used our
appeal procedure. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: The
Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow,
Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely,

A cost report which contains the information you have asked for is run on a regular basis by all councils. They may need to change the date range for what you require but it would only be an hours work.

Dear FOI,

Reference SOT14747
FOI #107623 email

Why was I not asked to clarify the period of time required?

Why do the invoices require printing are electronic reports not produced that this information could be extracted from?

In what format are reports produced for repair work from kier and how often are they produced daily, weekly or monthly.

Over what time period are invoices submitted daily, weekly or monthly.

Over what time period are invoices paid daily, weekly or monthly.

If daily please provide invoices for one day in January

Please include, Description of the job, the start time, the end time, the cost and any recorded waiting time for supplies or if incorrect supplies were delivered time taken for redelivery?

You may redact the name and address for the property.

Yours sincerely,

ian norris

Dear Mr Norris,

Your request for information SOT15413

Thank you for your request for information.  Your request was received by
the Information Rights Team on 24 March 2012. This is being dealt with
under the terms of the appropriate Information Rights legislation.

In some circumstances we may charge for information.  If there is a
charge, we will let you know, as you will have to pay it before we deal
with your request.

Some information does not have to be released under this legislation.  We
will check the information you have asked for and send you as much as
possible.  If another person or organisation is named in the information,
we may have to ask their opinion before we decide what we can give you.

You should expect to receive a response to your request on or before 25
April 2012 in line with the legislation's 20 working day statutory
deadline.

For your information we may publish the response to your request on the
city council's website, which can be found at [1]stoke.gov.uk.

The reason you were not contacted to clarify the period of time you were
requesting for your previous request is because you state "Please provide
the invoices from Kier Stoke, for housing repairs for the month January
2012." Applying Section 12, the appropriate limit, to your request was on
the basis of the time frame you had requested. We then advised you to make
a request for a smaller amount of information as that may then be inside
the appropriate limit.

If you have any queries about this email please do not hesitate to contact
us.

Yours sincerely

Dear FOI,

SOT15413

For what time period are you now processing this request, weekly or daily?

I asked for 1 month believing invoices would be submitted and processed monthly, so would be easier to extract report but if you can provide weekly or daily invoices that will be acceptable

Yours sincerely,

ian norris

Dear FOI,

Thank you for the information, but can you please explain why I have now recieved around 2 months of repairs, when my original request for 1 month was refused?
