Re: Information request

 

Thank you for your request dated 19^th October 2021 for information from
NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) as stipulated below:

 

Would you publish the NHS policy on Kidney Transplants for the over 65’s
and are there any conflicts with regard to age discrimination?

 

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 NHSBT is obliged to:

 

o Let you know whether we hold the information you have requested
o Provide you with the requested information, if held, (subject to any
exemptions under the Act which may apply).

 

I can confirm that NHSBT does not hold the information you have requested.

 

NHSBT does not have a policy for 'Kidney transplants for the over 65s' or
any other age dependant kidney policy.

 

In order to provide some advice and assistance under our Section 16 duties
we are able to offer the following information:
