Dear West Essex Primary Care Trust (PCT),
My GP surgery is carrying out a survey to find out how easy it if for a patient to book an appointment, as I have had great difficulty in getting doctors appointments I asked the practice manager when the results were going to to published, I was told this was nothing to do with me and I had no right to this information. I would like to know what the findings are and if there are others the same as me that have the same problems, I would also like to know what they are going to do with the findings to improve the service for patients.
Dear Ms Williams
Further to your request for information made to the PCT on a survey
carried out by Keyhealth Medical Centre, pursuant to the Freedom of
Information Act ("the Act).
I can confirm that the Keyhealth Medical Centre is an independent
contractor and therefore the PCT would not know if this information is
held. We do however have a duty to provide advice and assistance
(section 16) of the Act. In doing so I have attached a link to the
national patient survey accessed through the NHS website
I also suggest you contact the Keyhealth Medical Centre, details below,
for further assistance.

Dear Matthews Jacquie (5PV) West Essex PCT,
this is long overdue please could you have an internal review to see why this has taken so long
Dear Ms Williams,
I write further to your complaint about the PCT's response to your
request pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (the Act) for a copy
of a survey on how easy it is for a patient to book an appointment which
was carried out by your GP surgery, Keyhealth Medical Centre.
In my capacity as Review Officer I have carefully considered your
I have found that the PCT does not hold the information you have
requested as the survey was carried out by Keyhealth Medical Centre, and
not the PCT. Keyhealth Medical Centre, is a GP surgery which, as an
independent contractor, is not managed by, or part of the PCT. I have
found that Ms Matthews, informed you of this in her response to you
dated 25th October 2010.
I have also found in accordance with the PCT's duty to assist under the
Act that Ms Matthews suggested that you contact Dr M Greenhalgh, at
Keyhealth Medical Centre. She also provided you with a link to the
national patient survey on an external NHS website.
I have found that there has been no delay on the part of the PCT in
dealing with your request, and that accordingly your complaint has not
Once again, I would suggest that should you wish to pursue your request
for a copy of the survey that you contact Mr Greenhalgh, at Keyhealth
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of my findings you have the
right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner who can be
contacted at the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House,
Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
