This is extraordinary isn't it? Surely a local authority school would be crucified by Ofsted and Mr Gove for not having this information.

I'm afraid Secondary Schools are not allowed to use primary school information as part of their admissions policy unless it is part of a special needs statement.

I would be very surprised if this is the case. All secondary schools are given this information as part of the transfer process. It comes across on the common transfer file.

I would suggest that you raise this with the Data Commisioner as appears that this school is contravening the FOIA.
