Keeping records of phone calls
Dear Oxford City Council,
I would like to know the following
1) Do you keep records of telephone calls from Council tenants reporting repair and maintenance issues (ie does the council only keep a record of requests for repairs or reports of issues where made by letter or in an email)?
2) Do you have any record of repair/maintenance to the roof and/or or guttering being carried out at flats 1-37 inclusive, Friars Wharf OX1, or of any resident at any of these addresses having reported issues with the roof, guttering, or evidence of water ingress? Also, if so, can you clarify in what form (telephone, email, in person, etc) the initial reporting of the issue/request for a repair was made?

Dear Oxford City Council,
I note that you have failed to respond the FOI request I lodged on 19th March concerning the Council's policy on keeping records of phone calls where tenants report repair and maintenance issues.
By law the Council should normally have responded promptly and by 17th April but has failed to do so. I have now been in touch with the Information Commissioner's Office to request they intervene.
I note that I have previously written to the Council's Monitoring Officer, requesting an internal review of Oxford City Council response to an earlier FOI request. I should like to reiterate, in relation to this second request, my concerns that the Council's delay in responding in part relates to the upcoming General Election and that the FOI request process may have been politicised.

Further to the acknowledgement below, I can now respond to your FOI
request of 18^th March 2015. I apologize for the delay.
1) Repair requests, including calls received by the Contact Centre, are
logged on to a computer system. However, it is not possible to readily
identify how the request was made because the system is not set up to
report in this way. Individual entries would have to be checked.
2) Please see the attached spread sheet.
If you disagree with any part of the response to your request, you are
entitled to ask the Council for an internal review of the decision(s)
made. You may do this by writing to the Monitoring Officer, by either
email – [1][email address] – or by post to Monitoring Officer,
Oxford City Council, St Aldate’s Chambers, St Aldate’s, Oxford, OX1 1DS.
After the result of the internal review, if you remain dissatisfied, you
may ask the Information Commissioner to intervene on your behalf. You may
do this by writing to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
