Jurisdiction over Jersey

Tom Young made this Freedom of Information request to Home Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Waiting for an internal review by Home Office of their handling of this request.

Dear Home Office,

I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to tell me who has jurisdiction over both the Home Office and the Crown Dependency of Jersey?

In your answer, please provide details of relevant positions (e.g. Home Secretary, Director General of Mi5, Monarch) and if possible any other relevant authorities who may be able to further my request.

Yours faithfully,

Tom Young

Dear Home Office,

I must admit, I'm a touch disappointed at the response from J Jones stating that apparently you can't find the time to answer my request, however, it clearly relates to Home Office Policy.

Under the circumstance, I will rephrase the question thus:

Could you tell me how many Home Office staff have jurisdiction over both the Home Office and the Crown Dependency of Jersey and what positions within the managerial hierarchy have this power?

Many Thanks

Yours faithfully,

Tom Young

Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Jurisdiction over Jersey'.

Many Thanks for your reply, if as you state, the Home Office holds no jurisdiction over Jersey, could you please explain why it was a journalist intending to visit Jersey to investigate child abuse on the island was detained at Heathrow Airport on 11-09-2011 and had her visa revoked?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/j...
