Dear Gwendolen Bowles

Our ref: F2018-004 Junior Research Fellowship recruitment

I am responding on behalf of Lucy Cavendish College to your FOI request set
out below, as follows:

Lucy Cavendish College has exemption from the provisions of the Equality Act
2010 relating to sex discrimination so our research fellowships are
currently restricted to female applicants.

1. I would like anonymised statistics pertaining to unsuccessful applicants'
gender, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, and religion.

Information collected on research fellowship competitions is only held for
six months following the competition, so this information is not held, but
as noted above all applicants will have been female.

2. I would like anonymised statistics pertaining to successful applicants'
gender, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, and religion.

The College does not run a research fellowship competition every year, so
because of small numbers relating to the successful applicants, apart from
letting you know that all successful applicants were female, this
information is not being released.

Information on disability, sexual orientation and religion is not held.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint, you should write to me, at the address
below.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the ICO
cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure
provided by the College. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:

The Information Commissioner's Office
Wycliffe House
Water Lane
Wilmslow
Cheshire
SK9 5AF

Yours sincerely,
Alison Vinnicombe
