Junior and Senior Staff Roles and Salaries

Department for Culture, Media and Sport did not have the information requested.

Dear Department for Culture, Media and Sport
I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:
The CSV files of both Junior and Senior Staff Roles and Salaries for March 2016, 2017. I can see your department has published them for March in all other years from 2011 - 2017 (which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/collection...) so I was looking to have the complete record for this data from March 2011 until present day.
Please provide the information in the standard form, that is the same format you have provided this data in prior years as I intent to use it for academic research.
If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.
If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined please provide further advice and assistance to indicate this.
If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me via email and I will be happy to clarify what I am asking for, my details are outlined below.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.
Best wishes,
Sam Watson

The department responded to you on 15 March:

I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(the Act). I can confirm the department does not hold information for
2016. We have determined some the information, specifically that for 2017,
is exempt from disclosure under section 21 (information available by other
means) of the Act. This is because this information has been published at
the following link:

You have now requested an internal review, as follows:

Dear [email address] on behalf of FOI Team,
As per my request - I would like the data for March of each year, this is
not online, please provide as originally requested.

Yours sincerely,

Sam Watson

In order to ensure cases are looked at afresh, internal reviews of freedom
of information decisions are carried out in our Department by officials
unconnected to the handling of the original request. I was therefore asked
to conduct the internal review.

I have considered your request carefully and would like to re-affirm and
clarify that we do not hold the information, in the format requested, for
March 2016 or 2017 as per your original request. I can confirm that we
also do not hold information for March 2015, nor do we hold information
for September 2015 and 2016. Furthermore, I can confirm that we will not
be retrospectively formatting the data to be uploaded to the link
previously provided.

We now have an obligation to publish this information every 6 months at
the web address provided previously
(https://data.gov.uk/dataset/organogram-d...).
For your information, September's 2017 information has now been uploaded.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.

Yours sincerely
