JSA expenses Flexible Support Fund
Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
You said:
"The rates of Jobseeker’s Allowance are intended to cover all normal day-to-day living expenses, including those incurred whilst looking for work."
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/1...
As the Jobcentre is now requiring/mandating spending up to 35 hours per week to look for work, as a condition of JSA, can you provide the internal information, legislative and Front Line Jobcentre Adviser (FLJA) guidance you hold that explicitly states Jobseeker's Allowance includes expenses "incurred whilst looking for work"?
Please also supply a copy of your internal Flexible Support Fund (FSF) FLJA and Jobcentre Management guidance and forms used by Advisers when they seek approval to disburse any FSF. Together with any template letters or forms given to anyone denied or provided with FSF help, including any documents/forms/agreements that must signed by anyone who is denied or provided with FSF help.
Yours faithfully,
Frank Zola
