Dear University of Liverpool,
Please provide a copy of the license agreement which the university has with the publisher Elsevier for access to academic journals. You have made the financial details of the previous 2012-16 agreement available (see https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...), but as far as I am aware further details of the contract, and the license terms themselves, are not publicly available. A new agreement began in January 2017 and no details from that have been released yet.
I am requesting this information in the public interest, in order to make it clear exactly what is being purchased on behalf of your community. And as a researcher in this area, I am interested to know whether the terms deviate from the standard Jisc Collections license. Please let me know if you have any questions about my request.
Dear Mr. Lawson,
Thank you for your email received 13th March 2017 requesting a copy of the University of Liverpool's licence agreement with Elsevier. I am writing to let you know that we have received your request and will process it as soon as possible, and in any case within 20 working days of the day we received the request. You will hear back from us by 11th April 2017 at the latest.
