To whom it may concern,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the Joint Support Group (JSG) and the Defence Human Intelligence Unit (DHU).

Please provide the following information:
1. Was the JSG renamed or reformed into the DHU? In other words, are they the same unit before and after renaming/reforming?
2. If the DHU is a renamed version of the JSG, what is the date when this renaming took place?
3. If the DHU is a renamed version of the JSG, were any other changes made to reform the unit at approximately the same time it was renamed? If so, what were these changes?
4. If the DHU is a renamed version of the JSG, what were the rationale and motivations behind the decisions to rename and reform the JSG?
5. If the DHU is a renamed version of the JSG, is the DHU the current name of the JSG/DHU unit as of the 1st of August 2024?
